Main objectives
The objective is to reduce the social inequalities by fostering the access to decent accomodation, public infrastructure, and job opportunities to the poorest populations; reverse the urban divide to make the city more efficient; reduce the cost of infrastructure for inhabitants and mitigate the carbon impact of the city.

Main activities
The project consists in supporting the spatial transformation of the city by financing a part of the municipal program of investment for 2014-2017. The loan included several components of technical assistant. It allows the support of Johannesburg's municipality policy of spatial transformation, by evaluating social and economic impacts and integrating climate challenges (eco-districts, the management of urban services and green infrastructures).
