Main objectives
The FFEM is mandated to co finance development projects with a significant environmental component. FISP CLIMA aims at mobilisation of private actors in climate change and adaptation, leveraging additional funding by the companies themselves or other investors.

Main activities
The FFEM encourages the energy transition of these countries by financing in particular projects allowing sustainable and affordable access to energy for all and which promote renewable energy in energy production. It focuses its actions around four axes: - Support for public policies, - Financial arrangements favoring public-private partnerships and scaling up, - The development of renewable energy production lines or energy-efficient equipment, - The development of MRV tools: Measure, Reporting and Verification
