Main objectives
- Promote paradigm shift towards low-emission and climate-resilient pathways - Become the main global fund to catalyze climate change finance at national, regional and international levels

Main activities
- Finance low emission (& adaptation) projects & programs via accredited entities developed by public and private sector - Link programs to country-specific strategic priorities (e.g. NAMAs) - Readiness program: support countries to engage with fund (info sharing, developing strategic framework, developing pipelines, accreditation, strengthening of National Designated Authority/Focal Point) - 8 strategic areas, 4 of which are mitigation-related: (i) energy generation & access, (ii) Transport, (iii) Buildings, cities, industries, appliances (iV) forests & land use
