Main objectives

Develop policies and strategies that contribute to improved access to affordable and sustainable energy services by:

1) Supporting the development of appropriate and cost-effective institutional and service delivery models,

2) improving the enabling environment for private investments in the energy sector, and

3) Build institutional capacities for national executing agencies, regulators and public-private partnerships

Main activities

- Policy dialogue and coordination, advisory services to EU member states, information sharing, analysis and visibility.

- Service Lines:

  • RECP: Policy Advisory, private sector cooperation, access to finance and innovation and skills development
  • AEEP: Partnership processes and governance, policy dialogue and stakeholder engagement, monitoring progress of the AEEP 2020 targets and thematic workshop streams.
  • SEADS: Institution building and strengthening, capacity building, thematic research and knowledge sharing, policy, strategy and regulation
